Squaw Valley is located near the Dinosaur Valley State Park on the north side of the Brazos River in Glen Rose with two 18 hole championship golf courses owned and operated by the county.

The Apache Links layout provides for wide open, links style fairways with scattered pot bunkers on the front while the back is narrow and somewhat tree lined over hilly terrain with water in play on five holes and 37 sand bunkers overall. It can play to 7,063 yards, 73.6/130, course/slope ratings from the back tees with three shorter tees, designed by Jeff Brauer.

Comanche Lakes is challenging with a blend of narrow and broad, tree lined and mounded fairways with two lakes providing water in play on seven holes. It can play to 7,000 yards, 73.9/132, course/slope ratings from the tips, designed by John Colligan
