Shepherd Hills is a 9 hole golf course located about an about northwest of Kingston on a hillside on the west side of the Hamlet of Roxbury.

Jay Gould's (1800s railroad robber baron) daughter Helen, married Finley Shepherd who developed an estate and this golf course around Kirkside Lake in 1918 for the summer months in the Catskills. The course was designed by "one of the notable architects of the day", and at this juncture remains unknown. The course layout is hilly and winds along tree lined fairways with small postage stamps for greens. The clubhouse is in the estate’s former guesthouse, an old stone building commissioned by the Goulds in 1911. The golf course plays to just over 3,100 yards from the back tees for a par of 36 and a 120 slope.
