Sagamore Spring is about 30 minutes north of downtown Boston in Lynnfield off exit 41 of I-95 from the south or exit 46 from the north or east.

The layout is a stereotypical, New England parkland design in a natural setting along a mix of narrow and open, tree lined fairways with back to back par 3s on the finish at 9 and 18. There's a moderate amount of sand traps at the landing areas and greenside with Willis Brook and its attendant wetlands and ponds in play on eight holes. It's a classic design by Wayne Stiles playing to 5,972 yards from the tips, 68.6/119, course/slope ratings, par 70, with three shorter tees.
