Royal St. Patrick's is between Green Bay and Appleton, off I-41 at Wrightstown Road to the east, and is partially developed around a residential community.

The 19-hole course is set on level Wisconsin farmland and is a wide-open, links-style design, with water in the form of ponds, lakes, and streams as the dominant feature. The fairways are broad at the landing areas and framed by tall fescue grasses at the borders, with a moderate amount of sand bunkers at the landing zones, and defending the large, open, and accommodating greens. The course plays to 7,071 yards from the tips, 74.0/137, course/slope ratings, and three shorter tee boxes, designed by Rick Robbins.
