River Run is a municipal golf course located between La Crosse and Tomah off I-90 at the Sparta exit to the northeast.

The course is bisected by the La Crosse River and borders Perch Lake's south shore both of which are rarely in play. It travels over relatively level terrain along fairways outlined by hardwoods and evergreens with a voluminous amount of sand bunkers securing the fairways and greens. It can play to 6,605 yards, 72.2/132, course/slope ratings off the back tees with three shorter tees.
