Rio Mimbres Country Club is just off I-10 at the Deming exit between El Paso and Tucson in the Upper Chihuahuan Desert at an elevation of 4,350 feet.

The layout roams over level terrain abutting the Deming Municipal Airport with scattered trees lining the fairways bordered by desert flora and fauna. The fairways are generally straightforward tracks with several water hazards in play and a tolerable amount of sand traps. There's four sets of tees with the tips at 6,698 yards, 71.2/120, course/slope ratings, the White tees are at 6,086 yards, 68.4/118, with design work by Keith Foster.
