The Rio Grande Golf Club is about an hour west of Alamosa on the west side of South Fork off US 160 at CO 149, 2 hours from Durango.

The layout is a combination of level fairways along the Rio Grande River on the front along with mountain style holes over a substantial change in elevation on the backside providing endless views. The routing is through sandstone outcroppings and along pine, aspen, and cottonwood pockets with a carry over the Rio Grande on the front side. The course offers four sets of tees from 5,409 yards to 7,155 yards, the Whites are 6,609 yards, 69.4/125, course/slope ratings, designed by Ric Buckton.
