The Vinoy Club is open to guests of the Renaissance in St. Pete and is located on Snell Isle, about 15 minutes from the hotel, within an upscale residential community.

The layout is in a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary and features palm- and oak-lined fairways, with ponds, lakes, wetlands, and streams on most holes. There is an inventive use of sand with pot bunkers, conventional bunkers, and long waste areas along the fairways, all defending the contoured putting surfaces. There are four tee boxes to accommodate all levels of play, with the tips playing to 6,590 yards, 71.7/130, and course/slope ratings. The golf course is an original John Van Kleek design from the 1920s, updated by Ron Garl in 1992.
