Red Hook is 15 minutes northeast of Rhinebeck and 5 miles west of the Taconic Parkway at the NY 199 exit in the Mid-Hudson Valley.

The layout is a scenic, parkland design with homes bordering a few of the fairways while the balance are tree lined along natural corridors or adjoining holes. There's a mix here with open landing zones off the tee while other fairways are through narrow corridors of deep forest. The holes move left and right with slight doglegs, there's a modest amount of water in play, and the sand bunkering is mostly greenside. The club originated in the 1930s with 9 holes, the second nine added in the 1990s, and from the tips it's 6,539 yards, 72.4/132, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
