Rankin is a 9-hole golf course on the northeast side of Rankin, 55 miles south of Midland on the edge of the Chihuahuan Desert.
The golf course was purchased by a local wealthy school district and renovated as a gift to its residents, and designed by Trey Kemp. It moves over level land along desert flora borders, with about half of the 70-acre course maintained in Bermudagrass turf.
