Rancho Manana is north of Scottsdale on Cave Creek Road partially bordering an established residential development.

It's an affordable course in an area with upscale golf club neighbors and features dramatic elevation changes as it climbs and descends through the natural desert terrain. The course wanders through and along the Cave Creek Wash in addition to three holes bordering a large lake. The compact landing zones are defined by desert borders with the greens heavily fortified by sand bunkers in a setting offering views of Camelback Mountain, Mummy Mountain, Squaw Peak, Black Mountain, South Mountain, and the Tonto National Forest and Eephant Butte. It's 6,016 yards off the back tees, 67.8/125, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, but not all that short considering there's six par 3s and a par of 70, designed by Bill Johnston.
