Rams Hill is in Borrego Springs almost 2 hours from either San Diego or Palm Springs within a residential development in the Coachella Valley.

The golf course moves along pine tree, cactus, and desert scrub brush bordered, rolling fairways in a scenic setting in the Anza Borrego State Park. The layout's green fairways, waterfalls, lakes, and bright white pot, conventional, and waste sand bunkers are a sharp contrast to the craggy mountains above and desert floor 200 feet below surrounding the course. There's five sets of tees with the tips playing to 7,247 yards, 75.1/141, course/slope ratings, from the blue tees it's 6,394 yards, 71.0/131. Rams Hill's original 27 hole layout was designed by Ted Robinson, but redesigned by Tom Fazio in 2007.
