Pine Grove tumbles over a large, natural tract of forested land on the northwest side of Iron Mountain.

The golf course is a true hidden gem and classic parkland layout, climbing over hilly terrain through narrow corridors of white and red pines, oak, and maple trees, with sand bunkers defending the fairways and greens, where course management is paramount. It plays to 6,616 yards from the tips, with 72.4/136 course/slope ratings, and features three shorter sets of tees. It is one of the oldest golf courses in the UP, with the first nine opening in 1902.
