Penn State - Blue/White

Penn State has two 18 hole courses located on the southwest side of State College and Campus in a park-like setting.

The Blue course's fairways are lined with mature, hardwood trees over level terrain with sand traps along the fairways and guarding the greens and several water hazards in play. From the back tees it plays to 7,219 yards, 75.2/138, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees. The initial nine holes were designed by two Penn State graduates, James Harrison and Ferdinand Garbin in 1970 with an additional nine added by Ault Clark in 1994.

The White Course is a classic, parkland style design traversing narrow, tree lined fairways leading to modest greens well defended by sand bunkers. It's much shorter at 6,328 yards from the back tees, 71.1/129, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees. The original nine holes were designed by R.D. Pryde and Bob Rutherford in 1921 with an additional nine and redesisgn by by Willie Park, Jr. in 1926.
