The Palmer Golf Course is about 40 minutes north of Anchorage, near Wasilla, in the heart of the Mat-Su Valley, with stunning views of Pioneer Peak, the Matanuska River, and the Knik Glacier.

The golf course adjoins the Palmer Airport, providing, at times, an entertaining air show/golfing combination experience. It is a basic links-style layout with wide-open fairways and numerous water hazards and wetlands, including the Matanuska River. The course plays to 6,585 yards from the white tees, 70.7/1207 course, and slope ratings, with several shorter and one longer tees, designed by Bill Overdorf.
