Ocala National is within a residential subdivision on the west side of Ocala off I-75 a few miles at the US 27 exit.

The golf course is a challenging, parkland layout moving through narrow, oak and pine tree lined fairways bordered by sand bunkers and water hazards with small, well defended greens. It's long at 7,364 yards from the tips, 75.9/141, course/slope ratings with the Seattle Slew tees at 6,445 yards, 71.7/130, a Rees Jones redesign of the original Charles Pace/Lee Popple layout.
