Norvelt is southeast of Greensburg and just east of New Staunton where I-70 and the Pa Turnpike join in the rolling foothills of the Alleghenies

It's a rather pedestrian start but gains in character on the backside as it saunters along the base of Chestnut Ridge with scattered trees lining the fairways, a modest amount of sand traps, and several water hazards overall. The course was designed by Larry Liprando and plays to 6,334 yards, 70.9/133, course/slope ratings from the back tees with a three shorter tees.
