The National course is a Tom Fazio design in Reynolds Plantation with three nines.

The names of each nine typify their respective design, Bluff, Cove, and Ridge, as they're etched through dogwood and pine tree lined, rolling fairways. In the Spring, The National is reminiscent of Augusta National with the flowering azaleas, dogwoods, multiple ponds, expansive white sand bunkers of varying shapes, and quick, undulating and contoured green complexes. There's ample elevation change throughout with several holes along Lake Oconee. Yardages and course/slope ratings for the rotations from the tips with five shorter tees: Ridge/Bluff-6,955 yards, 73.4/137, course/slope ratings; Bluff/Cove-7,034 yards, 73.8/137; Cove/Ridge-6,987 yards, 73.6/138.
