Mountain View is on the southeast side of Portland in Boring off Kelso Road halfway between downtown and Mt. Hood.

The layout is a classic, Northwest parkland style of design with trees and natural borders lining the fairways and homes along a few of the exterior holes. The course is generally straightforward with slight doglegs, several water hazards, and a sparing use of sand bunkers. It's worth playing just to experience #12, a 185 yard par 3 almost 200 yards straight downhill. The course is short at 6,018 yards, 68.8/122, course/slope ratings from the tips, par 71 with two shorter tees, designed by Jack Waltmire.
