Morro Bay is a county operated municipal layout in a setting on the Bay providing views of the surrounding mountains and the Pacific-the locals refer to it as a "poor man's Pebble Beach".

The tree lined and rolling fairways require accurate drives off the tee with 360 degree views over Morro Bay as a distraction. It's fairly straightforward with a few doglegs, little in the way of sand bunkers, and small, Poa greens with confounding undulations. It's an old course dating back to the mid-1920s and rather short at 6,360 yards, par 71, 70.8/119, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees.
