The Montgomery National Golf Course is an hour south of Minneapolis on the north side of the Village of Montgomery.

The layout is a challenging parkland design with separate, unique fairways over a large tract of former farmland. The fairways are defined by trees, with generous amounts of sand traps and water hazards defending the landing zones and greens. There's enough variety here to keep it interesting with blind shots, risk/reward opportunities, drivable par 4s, and par 5s, which may be reachable in two. There are four sets of tees with the tips playing to 6,563 yards, 71.5/129, course/slope ratings, Joel Goldstrand's first golf course design from 1970.
