Monarch Bay is a municipal golf course located south of the Oakland Airport directly on the Bay with a 9 hole, executive layout and an 18 hole, championship course.

The 18-hole, Tony Lema Golf Course journeys over level terrain in a picturesque setting with the Peninsula and downtown San Francisco as the background. It's primarily a links-style layout wide open to the constant wind over undulating fairways framed by tall fescue and a generous amount of sand traps as the primary hazards. There's six sets of tees overall with the middle, white tees playing to 6,061 yards, 69.1/118, course/slope ratings, an original Billy Bell design with redesign work by John Harbottle.
