McCauslin Brook is in northern Wisconsin's State Forest Lands, in an isolated setting in Lakewood.

The layout lumbers over rolling contours along fairway corridors bordered by stands of hardwoods or the deep woods. McCauslin Brook traverses the northern half from east to west, in addition to multiple ponds, which provide water hazards on half the holes.
