Maple Ridge is on the northeast side of Columbus, off the JR Allen Parkway at Schomburg to the north.

The golf course is a target, parkland-style layout along rolling, tree-lined fairways through a residential development, with the homesites for the most part blocked by the trees. There are streams and ponds potentially in play on over half the holes, and sand bunkers at the landing zones and greens, providing an overall exercise in course management. There are 6 sets of tees, the tips play to 6,617 yards, 71.2/135, course/slope ratings, designed by Larry Mize/Craig Schreiner in the early 1990s.
