Madeline Island Golf Club is on one of the 22 islands in the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore on Lake Superior in northern Wisconsin 80 miles east of Duluth. There's numerous summer activities here in addition to golf with lighthouses, sea caves, hiking trails, fishing and sailing.

For golfers, take the 3 mile trip on the ferry to Madeline to find one of Robert Trent Jones Sr's original designs. The course is within a forest journeying along tree lined fairways on rolling terrain, and is a fair but challenging layout where your 3 wood or rescue is often better suited than the driver.
