Lake Monticello is south of Charlottesville off RT 53/Thomas Jefferson Parkway a few miles south of town.

The golf course is within an established neighborhood to the south of Lake Monticello marching along heavy, tree lined fairways over rolling land with several doglegs, multiple water hazards, and sand traps along the fairways and defending the greens. The course was designed by Buddy Loving in the 1970s and tips out at 6,930 yards, 73.8/138, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
