Koshkonong is on the east side of Lake Koshkonong in Fort Atkinson about 40 minutes southeast of Madison.

The routing is a parkland style layout through the Indian mounds and along tree lined fairways over undulating terrain with multiple water hazards and sand traps guarding the greens. There's two distinct layouts here with the original nine holes from the 1920s along old growth, oak tree lined fairways leading to small greens contrasting the newer nine from the early 1980s with roomy landing zones bordered by scattered young trees and generous, green complexes. There's four sets of tees overall, the Ivory tees are at 6,270 yards, 68.0/118, the new nine designed by Art Johnson.
