King’s Deer is an hour south of downtown Denver on the east side of I-25 in Monument within a residential development.

The golf course is a roomy, wide open, links-style layout with tall prairie grasses lining the fairways and clear views of the Front Range and Pikes Peak throughout the round. While there are homes along the holes, they're large estate homesites set well off the fairways. The layout is fairly forgiving off the tee, but with a generous amount of sand bunkers both in the fairways and greenside as well as the occasional water hazard. The greens are all shapes and sizes, relatively quick and with slight undulation. There's five sets of tees overall, the tips play to 6,711 yards, 72.2/135, course/slope ratings, designed and built by Redstone Golf Group in the late 1990s.
