Island Point is 15 minutes east of Knoxville in Kodak off I-40 between exits 402 and 407 to the south.

The course was laid into a stunning setting with a number of holes crossing or bordering the French Broad River and four holes located on islands in the middle of the River. It's an interesting layout along fairways defined by mature hardwoods with a creative use of the contours of the land as it was. It was designed by Arthur Hills in 1991 and plays to 7,001 yards from the back tees, 75.4/133, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees.
