Iron Masters is between Altoona and Bedford just off I-99 at exit 15 to the northeast.

The golf course is a mountain style, parkland layout traversing sloping and rolling, narrow tree lined fairways on a compact tract of land surrounded by deep woods. It's a target layout with 50+ sand bunkers securing both the landing zones and the small to mid-sized sloped and contoured greens. It was designed in the early 1960s by Ed Ault and plays to 6,527 from the tips, 72.5/129, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees.
