Indian Trace is just west of the Murray County High School on the east side of Dalton.

The course is a blend of narrow and broad, tree lined fairways with numerous water hazards in play, but without sand bunkers as it marches over a large, natural tract of land without homes or development. The golf course was designed by Harold Parrica in the early 1990s and from the tips plays to only 6,144 yards, 69.7/118, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees.
