Indian Springs is 45 minutes west of Effingham off the Vandalia exit of I-70 then 15 minutes northwest on IL 185.

The golf course is bordered by farmland and forests with unique and isolated holes. Some are relatively open with scattered young trees at the borders while others are carved through old growth, hardwoods. In terms of hazards, there's Piatt Creek and numerous ponds in addition to a generous amount of sand traps along the fairways and defending the greens of varying shapes and sizes. The course plays to a par of 70 at 6,264 yards from the tips, 68.9/122, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, designed by Dan Gorsage and Kyle Goalby.
