Horse Creek Golf Course is located in Dora, between Jasper and Birmingham, twenty-five minutes from Birmingham.

The golf course is a parkland layout carved through the forest, but with some more open, links-type holes and elevation changes on the backside. There's a fair amount of water hazards and sand traps in play, but overall it's a straightforward, playable layout. It was designed by Robert Kirk on a former strip mine, and from the gold tees is 6,883 yards, 72.7/129, course/slope ratings, with three shorter tees.
