Hillside is just off I-80 in Sidney on the southwest side of town.

The course rambles through the sandhills and canyons in the Lodgepole Valley winding over and around small bluffs. The hillside holes have narrow rolling fairways full of dips and undulations while the holes between the bluffs have long, narrow fairways bounded by the bases of the bluffs with wild grasses and sand/rock bordering the fairways. It can play to 6,924 yards from the tips with the White tees at 6,206 yards, 69.1/116, course/slope ratings, the initial 9 holes by Milo Lucker and Carl Faddis in 1962 with the second nine designed by Bob Vander Zee in 1962.
