Harbor Shores is on the north side of Benton Harbor developed as part of a resort/residential community on reclaimed land of a former Superfund site.

The golf course is a scenic layout and setting with three holes bordering Lake Michigan, 10 holes bordering the Paw Paw River, Ox Creek and its wetlands, and 4 holes through rolling, tree lined fairways and over ravines. The layout's broad fescue and tree lined fairways and greens are bordered by conventional stand traps and massive waste areas with numerous water hazards in play. It can play to 6,852 yards from the tips, 74.7/143, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees, designed by Jack Nicklaus.
