Green Mountain National is near the Killington Resort, just north on Rt 100, etched through the hills and woods of the Green Mountain National Forest.

The hilly routing follows isolated, tree-lined, and narrow fairways, with stunning views of the surrounding Green Mountains throughout the course. There are numerous slight and dramatic doglegs, ponds, and streams, and sand bunkers occasionally along the fairways, but defending most greens. It's a Gene Bates design of 6,589 yards from the black tees, 72.1/138, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees.
