Gold Canyon is located 45 minutes east of Phoenix on US 60 just east of Apache Junction with two 18 hole golf courses in the high Sonoran Desert.

The Dinosaur has significant degrees of elevation changes as it climbs through the upper reaches of Dinosaur Mountain with elevated tee boxes providing stunning views of the Superstition Mountains and the surrounding area. It plays to 6,653 yards, 71.5/144, course/slope ratings from the tips with four shorter tees, designed by Ken Kavanaugh, Greg Nash, and Stuart Penge.

The Sidewinder is routed on similar terrain but with less dramatic elevation change and below Dinosaur Mountain through natural arroyos and dry creek beds with native grasses and vegetation bordering the fairways. The Sidewinder moniker is apropo as it twists and turns the desert landscape. It plays to 6,533 yards, 71.4/133, course/slope from the tips with four shorter tees, designed by the same team as Dinosaur.
