Fox Hills is on the east side of Watford City on ND 23.

The course is set on a large, natural tract of land over rolling contours and along broad fairways with ample separation between the holes. The fairways are defined by rows of young trees leading to the generous greensites defended by sand bunkers. The front nine moves along the western bank of a creek that bisects the property while the back nine is along the east side of the creek and over the higher hills. One unique aspect is the wooden bulkhead-faced bunkers which help keep the sand in the bunker under the usual high winds the area produces.
