The Fort Mill Golf Club is located about 20 minutes south of Charlotte in Fort Mill, off I-77 to the east.

The parkland layout moves over rolling hills with abundant character and interest, where being able to work the ball off the tee is essential, as well as a sharp short game. There are several holes with water hazards, along with well-bunkered fairways and greens. It plays to 6,364 yards from the men's tees, 70.0/124 course, and slope ratings with two longer and two shorter tees. The golf course has an interesting history of architects: Donald Ross designed the front, George Cobb the back, and Clyde Johnson oversaw a renovation.
