The Fairmont golf course is on the south side of Fairmont, 20 minutes east of South of the Border off I-95.

The layout traverses pine-lined fairways across flat land, with a series of slight doglegs. There are fewer than a dozen sand bunkers in play, and several ponds and lakes with small, oval greens as targets. Porter Gibson designed four sets of tees overall from 4,709 to 6,755 yards, with 72.4/126 course/slope ratings off the tips.
