The Jewel in the Desert is located along the Colorado River south of Lake Havasu in the foothills of the Buckskin Mountains following the shore of the Colorado River.

The golf course provides considerable elevation changes as it traverses red rock canyons, desert foothills, and over deep ravines along unique and isolated fairways. There's numerous elevated tees providing stunning views of the desert, the mountains, and the River with multiple forced carries over deep chasms to fairways bordered by vertical canyon walls. It plays to 6,437 yards from the back tees, 72.0/137, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, designed by William Phillips.
