Eagle's Nest is at the Guntersville State Park in the north Alabama mountains about 1 1/2 hours from Birmingham off I-59 at Gadsden.

The golf course is a playable, parkland layout winding along tree lined fairways over hilly land with a sprinkling of sand bunkers on a large tract of land carved through the forest on top of Taylor Mountain. The course was originally designed by Earl Stone in the 1970s with redesign work recently by Jerry Pate, and now plays to 6,785 yards from the tips, 71.4/118, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
