Dunmaglas is between Charlevoix and Horton Bay on Boyne City Road on the north side of Lake Charlevoix.

It is a spectacular layout and setting with a surprising amount of elevation change and is challenging overall. The course journeys along hilly, tree lined fairways bordered by tall fescue grasses with water in play on only 4 holes but an assortment of sand and grass bunkers at the landing zones and defending the greens. The course was designed by Larry Mancour and Dean Refram and plays to 6,901 yards, 75.0/139, course/slope ratings from the tips with four shorter tees.
