Desert Aire is about an hour east of Yakima in Mattawa at the Priest Rapids Dam along the Columbia River with views over the Umtanum Ridge throughout the round.

The course meanders in a loop through and around a residential community and is straightforward off the tee with scattered trees along the fairways and sand bunkers primarily greenside. It plays to 6,490 yards from the back tees with a 119 slope, the white tees play to 6,147 yards, 69.3/117 course and slope ratings with two shorter tees, designed by Jim Krause with a redesign by Dan Hixon.
