Deer Valley is 8 miles south of Rock Falls off I-88.

The golf course spans a large, natural tract of land surrounded by farmland within a sparsely developed, residential community. The Winnebago Ditch borders the eastern five holes and is theoretically in play while assorted ponds and streams dot the balance of the course. It flows over undulating topography along fairways loosely defined by scattered stands of trees with a generous amount of sand bunkers fortifying most green complexes and several fairway landing zones. It can play to 6,618 yards, 71.7/125, course/slope ratings off the back tees with three shorter tees, designed by Dave Johnson.
