Cross Creek is 20 minutes west of Salem and north of Dallas in the Mid-Willamette Valley, surrounded by fields and forests.

The golf course is a wide-open, links-style layout with scattered young trees along the fairways' borders, in a scenic setting with no homes or development along the holes. Water is the dominant feature here, with a large lake, numerous ponds, and the Hoekstra Slough traversing the middle of the layout. There are four sets of tees with the tips playing to 6,884 yards, 72.9/124, course/slope ratings, and a William Robinson design.
