The Cochiti Golf Course is located in the foothills of the Jemez Mountains 50 minutes north of Albuquerque and 40 minutes southwest of Santa Fe.

The layout is an isolated mountain/desert/parkland style design gallivanting through a most scenic setting in the foothills. It's challenging as it traverses tree lined, hilly and sloping fairways along slight doglegs with numerous water hazards including a semi-island green, and sand bunkers mostly defending the greens and the occasional fairway. It plays to 6,817 yards from the back tees, 71.7/121, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. in 1981 and redesigned again in 2000.
