The Chicora Golf Club is on the west side of Dunn on a natural tract of land bounded by deep forests.

The golf course is a parkland layout, with rolling pine-tree fairways bordering the Cape Fear River. The layout's primary challenge is presented by the small, undulating green complexes generally protected by sand bunkers. The golf course is a short 6,234 yards from the tips for a par of 71 and 69.5/128, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by Sam McHouston and Willie Peregoy.
