Price to Play $76 - $100 |
The Capital City Country Club is on the southeast side of downtown Tallahassee, off Monroe St.
The layout is over hilly contours, along pine-tree-lined fairways with large moss-draped oak trees, with a couple of water hazards in play and sand bunkers defending the greens and the occasional fairway. The golf course has some history, as it was originally a 9-hole course designed by Fred Elliot in the early 1900s. A. W. Tillinghast redesigned the original 9 holes and added another nine in 1935, with R. Albert Anderson revising much of the original Tillinghast design later. There are four sets of tees from 5,259 yards to 6,502 yards; the white tees play to 6,240 yards, 69.6/125, course/slope ratings.
