Bulrush is an hour north of the Twin Cities and adjoins I-35 to the west at the Rush Lake Road exit.

The golf course is part of a real estate development, blending links and parkland designs across a mix of wide-open and forested fairways. Water is the dominant feature here, with Rush Creek snaking through the course from east to west and numerous ponds and sand bunkers swallowing off-line shots. There are four sets of tees, from 6,929 at the tips to 5,871 yards from the forward tees. The white tees are 6,573 yards, 72.1/131 course/slope ratings, designed by George Shortridge.
